Cannot send messages with iMessage?
iMessage is an app released by Apple and allow you communicate with other Apple users. With iMessage, you can send text, pictures, audio and videos to your friend who owns an Apple device like iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with Wi-Fi connected. You don’t need to pay your messages.
After upgrade to iOS 6, most of Apple fans find iMessage mess up, they cannot send message with iMessage or cannot receive iMessage from others, then how to fix it? |
Activate your iMessage
When send messages to others with iMessage, you may get the notice: "Waiting for activation..." Then you need to activate as below:
To use iMessage with your Apple ID, navigate to Settings > Messages > Receive At and tap Use your Apple ID for iMessage.
Then you will receive an E-mail, check your inbox or spam box, follow the steps to active your iMessage. Then Verify that your Apple ID or phone number is listed in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
Cannot send messages with iMessage?
You can send iMessage to others only who have an Apple device with iOS 5 or higher, and this who must have registered and activated his iMessage. Otherwise you can only send your message via SMS.
Check your iMessage if it is turn on. When you update your iOS to higher version, the iMessage will turn off. Sometimes iMessage will turn off without any settings. Most of people can solve the problem by fix this.
Go to Settings > Messages > iMessage to check it.
You can also Tap Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off and back on again.
Verify that your Apple ID or Phone number is listed in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
Check if your iOS device is connected to internet with Wi-Fi or 3G.
If you still cannot send message to others, you can turn to “Send As SMS”.
If the messages are displayed as light blue Bubble, congratulations, you have fixed the problem.
If you still cannot fix your iMessage, try to:
Restart your device by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button, toggle the “slide to power off” slide. To turn the device back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Cannot receive iMessage from others?
If you want to receive iMessage from others to your phone number on your Mac, iPod touch, iPad, you need meet the requirements as below:
Your device must be connected with Wi-Fi or internet
The iOS system must be iOS 6 or higher,
The Mac computer system must be OS X 10.8.2 or higher
You must signed in to your Apple ID on Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
