iPhone/iPad/iPod Disabled after Entering Wrong Passcode, How to Unlock It?

 

When you set a passcode to keep the secure use of your iPhone, iPad or iPod, you need to remember the passcode carefully because if you forget it and enter the wrong passcode, your device will be disabled.

 

When you enter passcode wrongly for 3 times, your iPhone/iPad/iPod will turn to a red screen and you will got the messages as below:
iPhone is disabled, Try again in 1 minute
iPod is disabled, Try again in 1 minute
iPad is disabled, Try again in 1 minute

 

If you get your passcode correctly and then you can try enter passcode again in 1 minute and unlock your device.
If you continually to enter wrong passcode, you iPhone/iPod/iPad will disabled you will found the messages like “[Device] is disabled, connect to iTunes", "iPhone is disabled try again in 22,312,198 minutes". Now you need to recover your iPhone with iTunes or recovery mode. All of your files on your device will be erased.

Have synced your iPhone/iPad/iPod to iTunes before?

 

Then you can reset your passcode. Follow the step:

 

Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod to the computer with iTunes

When the backup is complete, select “Restore” to restore your device

When restore finished, just restore from your latest backup.

 

If you have never synced your iPhone/iPad/iPod with iTunes

 

Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod with USB cable, you will get the message:”iTunes could not connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod, please enter your passcode bla bla bla…”

Then pull out the USB cable from your iPhone, iPad or iPod, but please leave the other end of the cable connect on your computer’s USB port.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds, turn your iPhone, iPad or iPod off.

Press and hold the Home button, and connect the USB cable with your device then your iPhone, iPad or iPod will turn on!

Keep holding the Home button until “Connect to iTunes” screen displayed then release the Home button.

Follow the message from iTunes, when it is detected device in recovery mode, Click OK then Restore to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod.

Go to Settings—General—Passcode Lock, you can set up passcode for your iPhone, iPad or iPod. Remember your passcode carefully, because if you enter the wrong passcode for 10 times, the device will erase itself.
